The Ortofon CC MKII MIX Concorde MKII Mix Cartridge provides versatile performance for DJs using physical vinyl during performances. Furthermore, Ortofon designed the MIX as a general-purpose cartridge for scratch, back-cueing, mixing, and everyday DJ applications. Its spherical diamond stylus combines with a solid aluminium cantilever to provide dependable groove contact during active vinyl performances. Consequently, DJs can maintain controlled handling while working across different musical styles and performance techniques. The Ortofon CC MKII MIX Concorde MKII Mix Cartridge produces a 6 mV output at 1 kHz and 5 cm/sec for compatible DJ systems. Additionally, its 20 dB channel separation supports transparent stereo reproduction across the sonic spectrum during vinyl playback. The cartridge achieves 100 μm tracking ability at 315 Hz for dependable groove tracking during demanding techniques. Moreover, its 2–4 g tracking force range allows suitable adjustment, while Ortofon recommends a 3 g setting. The R 18 μm spherical stylus tip provides consistent groove contact during regular DJ use and physical vinyl playback. Therefore, the aluminium cantilever supports controlled stylus movement while maintaining the cartridge’s practical handling characteristics. The cartridge weighs 18.5 g and uses Bayonet/SME mounting for compatible DJ turntables and tonearms. Meanwhile, its 700 Ohm internal impedance and 450 mH internal inductance define important electrical characteristics for suitable system configuration. The recommended 47 kOhm load resistance and 200–600 pF load capacitance establish suitable operating conditions for compatible equipment. Furthermore, DJs can replace the original stylus using the dedicated Stylus CC MKII Mix replacement option.
